can be used to manage health and safety?
There are two common Occupational health and safety
standards use by organizations around the world. This include ILO-OSH 2001 and
ISO 45001:2018. This international standards serves as guidance for
organization in establishing their health and safety management system. Both
safety management system are based on the PDCA management cycle which is use
for control and continuous improvement of health and safety management system.
Plan – aims and objectives should be set and organization
must plan how it would be achieved.
Do – Implementation of organization HSE Objectives and
targets. Organizational plan should made effective by taking actions to
implement them.
Check – performance monitoring, inspections and
continuous audit of organization plans and measuring if the management (aims
and objectives) system is being implemented successfully
Act – continuous review of process, improvement and
continuous implementation.
